Nautical Tuesday

I got a new pair of boat shoes over the weekend and I felt like doing the nautical look. (If you follow me on Twitter and/or Instagram you probably have seen them and if you don’t follow me on twitter and/or instagram totally do it! @easypeasyglam) Sorry the pictures are dark, my guy was having some photography issues.

I got my shoes at Marshalls (on sale!). I got my blazer at H&M and my shirt at Forever 21, both about a year ago. I’m not sure where I got my linen pants but there are some on here on Alloy that are very similar (and on sale). Below is my polyvore version to which I added anchor earrings and a sand dollar necklace. I actually have a sand dollar necklace that I planned on wearing today but I was running late. Surprise surprise. That also explains why my hair is a mess. *NOTE: if you can tell my hair is tinted green, ignore it. Some crazy woman dumped green powder on me at the color run and I’m having issues with washing it out.
I also had mint nails from the weekend that I showed off! Thanks to my lovely bestie and host for letting me use it, I'm on a mission to find a bottle of my own and when you do I'll be sure to let you know!

Color Run

Over the weekend I was in Boston visiting my girlfriend and participating in the Color Run 5k! It was awesome! The deal with it is you get sprayed with colored powder at certain spots along the course and then when you finish you get more crazy colors! Ours ended at a sports complex and there was music and food and activities. It was really fun it’s a great reason to be active and spend time with friends. Each city has different charities- ours was Homes For Our Troops! Plus if you haven’t done a 5k before it’s a great one to start with since it isn’t timed!

We also used it as an excuse to buy tutus, tiaras and crazy glasses. My

We went in a team of 9 but there were 4 of us that ended up sticking together throughout the run and after. Here are some of the fun pictures we took!

DIY Glam Phone

Today's post comes courtesy of my girlfriend from work. She decided the other day that she wanted to glam up her phone and had seen my DIY Glam Wine Bottle post and asked how she could go about doing it. I explained everything she would need and told her she had to take photos every step of the way so I could post her fab phone on my blog! So here is her step by step guide to a glam phone.

1. Gather the materials: superglue, fine glitter, mod podge, a foam brush, a toothpick, gems and clear nail polish
2. Mod podge the case and sprinkle the glitter over it

3. Using the toothpick dipped in the nail polish and put superglue on the back of the gem and add them to the case

4. spray with clear protective spray and you're all done!!
I probably won't be able to post for the next two nights because I'll be in BOSTON running a 5k!! Woo! Wish me luck! And since I won't be around I want to shout out to Ashley at A to Z with Ashley for giving me a pair of shoes today that I'm TOTALLY in love with! I'll share them in my next post and probbbbably post them on my instagram tomorrow when I wear them to work! Thanks girl!

"OOTD"

Today is another outfit post. The issue is- my boyfriend takes awkward pictures so that they look disproportionate and I've tried to get him to fix his picture taking but it's a work in progress. ANYWAY ignoring the awkward proportions of my pictures, here is my outfit for the day (aka OOTD- just learned what that meant) I've worn both these items before but we woke up late and I am kinda obsessed with this shirt. It's from T.J. Maxx but you can find a similar one here (on sale) or here, love this leopard collared one.

The pencil skirt is from H&M and you can find similar ones
here (on sale) and here. One thing my guy did right in his photography is catch my arm candy- I also featured both of these in previous posts but you can find them here and here and similar styles here, here, here and here. My sunglasses are from yesterday's post, bought at Urban Outfitters

My heels are from Marshall's (for $12 about a year ago) but here and here (on sale) you can find similar ones and here is a white version, and here is a wedge version I really like.

Also- when I was looking for similar bracelets to my Michael Kors one, I found this bracelet... and ordered it.

My Weekend Purchases

I’m not a big drinker (besides my pinot noir during din) but I ended up drinking a bit much on Friday night. Then was hungover all day on Saturday until around 7pm. Embarrassing, I know. But it didn’t stop me from shopping. My girlfriend and I stopped at a few key places- Nordstrom, H&M, J. Crew and Urban Outfitters. Here is what I got!

Since I was hungover, I think I was in comfy style mode. Starting with these amazing pants (left)! I loveeee them and they are totally perfect for a casual day! (I almost got  this but like I said I was hungover and drawn to comfort)

This J. Crew shirt for my guy which comes with a quick story- our lovely puppy chewed through the bag of clothes that were to be brought to the dry cleaners and ripped though this shirt. I was SO mad because I LOVE it. We originally got it at a J. Crew factory store but I saw this one had had to buy it. (also it was 15% off since I had a student I.D.!)

And this h&m
sweater- again with the comfy style. The color of this caught my eye and the feel
sold it. it’s thinner so perfect for throwing over leggings and boots (maybe the Pink and Pepper ones I just ordered from DSW!)

And these sunnies!! I didn’t bring my Marc sunnies out which I normally have with me everywhere I go but when I saw these at Urban Outfitters I wasn’t so mad. How fun right?

Was it a big shopping weekend for anyone else?

Animal Instinct

As much as I hate to admit it, summer is half over. Not ok, I know. Summer has been all about neons and bright colors, bold prints and modernized classic looks. So today I want to touch on a trend that I don't see going anywhere anytime soon. Leopard print. I made this collection of ways to throw a little wild into your average day. These items are great if you love the look but aren't ready for a full leopard print dress (which I totally have).

Which item is your favorite?
